In the 1960s, the first-generation founder, the late Gilsun Lee started a small shop specializing in jeon (savory pancakes) and makgeolli.
He later developed soba and soy milk noodles, creating what is now known as Jinmi House.
Located in the same spot since the 1960s, the shop has undergone several renewals, evolving into today's Mereumil Jinmi House.
Over three generations, numerous new menus and recipes have been developed, leading to a variety of offerings.
Just as the history of the shop spans three generations, so do the customers.
One of the most distinctive features of Mereumil Jinmi House is that guests visit
across generations, grandparents bringing their grandchildren, now parents bringing their own children and grandchildren.
